LEHS 20-21 Scheduling Information

Dear Parents and Students,

The scheduling season has arrived already and it is time to make decisions regarding your coursework for the next school year. The courses you select here at Logan Elm will help prepare you for the next step in your life, whether that be a career or college. With those next steps in mind it is crucial that you discuss with your parents, teachers, and counselors what your goals are for the years ahead.

Please take time to consider all of your options with an end goal in mind. If your goal is to attend Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center and be certified to start a career immediately upon graduation or continue on with higher education, then plan to take courses that will make you a qualified and attractive candidate for the program you wish to enter. If you plan to continue your education after high school and want to remain at Logan Elm High School for four- year education, then you need to select the most rigorous curriculum to be ready for college admission.

Please take time to read the Logan Elm Course Description Catalog very carefully and use it as a reference guide for your course selections. Your teachers and counselors will also assist you in the selection of courses. The course offerings listed in this catalog may be changed depending upon enrollment numbers. I would also advise you to read and familiarize yourself with the current and upcoming changes to the graduation and testing requirements from the Ohio Department of Education.

The staff at Logan Elm High School is committed to providing you with a top-notch education that prepares you for the next step in your life - the more you challenge yourself in high school the better prepared you will be for the next phase in your life - remember that the choices we make today will affect the rest of our lives.

Good luck and Go Braves!

Yours in Education,

Nate Smith

Principal
