ASSIGNMENT UPDATES

Classroom assignments and any updates will be listed by teacher in the section "Staff Pages" on the left side of the home page. This section will include assignments in addition to Blizzard Bags 1,2 and 3. If you have any questions or need additional information, e-mail your classroom teacher, Mr. Graffis or Mr. Wolfe.

ONE CALL NOW MESSAGE HIGHLIGHTS

On March 13, 2020, a "One Call Now" was sent to all Pickaway student households in an effort to update our families on the current closure. The message is below:
 

Good afternoon, this is Jim Wolfe, Principal of Pickaway Elementary. During the next three weeks, information will be dispersed by either One Call Now, the Logan Elm/Pickaway website or Twitter. On Monday, March 16, the building will be open between the hours of 9AM and 7PM for students to pick up needed supplies, books and medications. During Week 1, students are to complete Blizzard Bag 1, 2 and 3. Blizzard Bags are available on the website. They will also be available at the building on Monday. Additional resources are also available on the website.

All Logan Elm and Pickaway activities are postponed until further notice including Kindergarten Registration and Screening.

Report cards for the 3rd nine weeks will be mailed on Friday, March 20.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION AND SCREENING

2020-2021 Kindergarten Registration/Screening at Pickaway Elementary will be rescheduled. Please check back for updates.
 
Registration Information:

Children must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2020.

Forms may be obtained by visiting the link listed on the left. The completed packet with all supporting documents must be brought in at your scheduled appointment time. Children should wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing for screening.

CLASS PICTURES / YEARBOOK CANDIDS RESCHEDULED

SECRET SANTA WORKSHOP

Pickaway PTO will be sponsoring Secret Santa starting Tuesday, December 10. The gifts will range in price from $1 to $10. Checks should be made payable to Pickaway PTO. Students will be bringing home a sheet of gift tags and a bag to keep their shopping money safe. PTO asks that students complete the tags in advance so volunteers can help students shop for those on their list. The workshop will conclude on Thursday, December 12.

CONFERENCES RESCHEDULED

All conferences originally scheduled on November 12 will now be held on November 14 at the same time.

VETERANS DAY RECOGNITION

Pickaway Elementary will be observing Veterans Day with a special assembly on Monday, November 11 at 10AM. Students in Kindergarten are encouraged to wear blue shirts. Grades 1 and 3 should wear white shirts while Grades 2 and 4 should wear red shirts. Family members or friends who are Veterans or active in the military are invited to join us on the 11th.

We will display a "Wall of Honor" recognizing military members past and present who have a connection to Pickaway Elementary. If you would like to honor someone, please complete and decorate the star 
(click here) and return it to school by Wednesday, November 6. Feel free to make copies if you would like to honor more that one Veteran or active duty member.

LITTLE MISS PICKAWAY 2019

Elle Shonkwiler has been selected to represent Pickaway Elementary in the 2019 Little Miss Pumpkin Show pageant. Elle is a 1st grade student and the daughter of Aaron and Carly Shonkwiler. Congratulations Elle!
