GRADE 2 PUMPKIN ACTIVITY

On October 30, Ms. Young’s 2nd Grade class at Washington Elementary used pumpkins in the classroom to learn! Ms. Young supplied her students with giant pumpkins to help expand their young minds. The students weighed, measured, and yes, carved each pumpkin. The students were engaged, having fun and more importantly, learning. At the end of this activity, Ms. Young had her students describe the pumpkins using their five senses. This type of hands on learning is just a small glance of the hard work and dedication our students and staff pour into the Logan Elm School District.
