Debbie Shaw
President

Debbie Shaw has served on the Logan Elm Board of Education since 1988.  She serves on the Policy, Personnel and Communications committees. 

Debbie has resided in the Logan Elm district since 1965, when her family transferred to the area from West Virginia.  Debbie and her husband, Dennis, have two children and four grandchildren.  Their daughter, Jennifer, graduated from LEHS in 2000 and now teaches in the District. Their son, Josh, graduated from LEHS in 2003 and is a civil engineer.   Two of their grandchildren attend Logan Elm schools. 

Debbie attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1975.  She has a BS in Education from The Ohio State University.   After receiving her degree in December 1978, Debbie taught at Logan Elm as a 6th grade teacher, traveling between Salt Creek and Laurelville Elementary schools, for the remainder of the 78-79 school year.  From 1979-1982, she taught 5th grade and kindergarten for Circleville City Schools.   Later, Debbie stayed home with her children, then became the office manager at her husband’s dental office.  She retired in 2016.
 
In the community, Debbie volunteers in schools and is an Elementary Sunday School teacher.   She loves working with children and her goal is to make a difference in a child’s life.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, sewing, and water sports.

Michael Linton
Vice President


Michael Linton has served on the Logan Elm Board of Education for 11 years.  He serves on the following Board Committees: Finance, Building & Grounds, Athletics.

Michael has resided in the Logan Elm district for 32 years.  He and his wife, Annette, have seven children who all graduated from Logan Elm High School.  They also have one grandchild. 

Michael is a graduate of Circleville High School and a has a BA in Economics and Accounting from Capital University and is a CPA.    He currently is the owner of Accurate Heating & Cooling and Koinonia Investments.  Previously, he retired as CEO of Adecco, NA. 

In the community, Michael serves on the board of Pickaway County Community Foundation, Pickaway Works, Governor’s Executive Workforce Policy Board Pickaway JEDD board, CTC advisory boards for Pick-Ross, Pike, Eastland/Fairfield and is the Board Chair of WIOA Board-Area 20/21.  

Michael is thankful to have the opportunity to serve on the board of such a wonderful school district and community.

Scott Allen
Board Member

Scott Allen has been a member of the Logan Elm Board of Education for 10 years and is a member of Financial and Legislative committees.

Scott, who has lived in the district for 20 years, is married to Anne Allen and they have two daughters, Madison and Emily, both graduates of Logan Elm High School.   Scott is a graduate of Circleville High School and has a BA in Communications from Muskingum University.  He is currently employed by IBM.  

In the community, Scott serves as a board member of Earnhart Hill Regional Water & Sewer District and is a committee member of the Pickaway Plains Ducks Unlimited chapter. 

Scott believes that “Being A Brave” is not just a tag-line…it’s about being accountable to each other, our children, community, teachers, administrators.

Heidi White
Board Member

Heidi White is serving her first term as a member of the Logan Elm Board of Education, having been elected in November 2019 and taking the oath of office in January 2020.  She is a member of the Policy, Instruction and Personnel committees. 
 
Heidi, a resident of the district since 2001, is married to John White (LE Class of 1989) and they have two children, daughter Peri and son, Sawyer.   Heidi is a graduate of Zane Trace High School and has a BS in Human & Consumer Sciences, specializing in Dietetic and Food Service management, from Ohio University.   She has been employed by Kingston National Bank since 1998 in a variety of positions, currently serving as the Branch Manager/AVP of the Circleville Branch. 
 
In the community, Heidi is a member of the Circleville Noon Rotary, a 2018 Pickaway Fellow, and also serves on the Pickaway County YMCA Advisory Board and the PCN Leadership for Tomorrow committee.

Matt Kim
Member

Matt Kim is serving his first term as a member of the Logan Elm Board of Education, having been elected in November 2021 and taking the oath of office in January 2022. He is a member of the Buildings & Grounds/Transportation and Athletics committees.

Matt has resided in the Logan Elm district for 38 years and is a 1994 graduate of Logan Elm. His wife Beth is a 1996 graduate of Logan Elm and they have one son, Brady, currently in the 8th grade at McDowell Middle School. After graduation, Matt served in the United States Marine Corps from 1997-2002 and received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Sergeant. He has been employed at Mistras Group, Inc since 2002, currently serving as the Director of Radiation Safety for all operations in the United States and Canada.

In the community, Matt serves as a board member of Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center as the representative for the Pickaway County Educational Service Center. He is an advocate for the Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities, FANS Network, and Pickaway County Special Olympics.

Matt believes our district has the best students, staff, and community members, and considers it an honor to serve on the board.
